Hungry Dinosaur Song
Hungry Dinosaur is the song the whole series grew out of, with Jade on vocals and Pedro on ukulele. It's short and easy to dance to, and the roars are the best bit to join in with.
The full lyrics are below, so you can sing it away from a screen.
It's a good one for learning, too. The song asks whether the dinosaur is above you, behind you or beside you, so it practises position words. The call and response ("Where's the hungry dinosaur?" "Roar!") gives everyone a part, and going from tiptoeing softly to roaring out loud is a fun way to play with quiet and loud. The Where's the Dinosaur? sheet keeps the position words going after the song ends.
Lyrics
Tiptoe softly
Don't make a sound
Something big is stomping
Look all around
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where did it go?
Is it above you?
Is it behind you?
Is it beside you?
I can see the dino eating
It's a bowl of cereal
I'm so lucky it's now leaving
I can play all day long
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where did it go?
Is it above you?
Is it behind you?
Is it beside you?
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where's the hungry dinosaur? (Roar)
Where did it go?
